JAPAN is well-known for gadgets that are small and cute, but what about a camera that is as small as a standard eraser?

Retailer JTT, known for its Chobi Cam series, has launched a micro DSLR camera, believed to be the smallest in the world.

Measuring just 2.5cm x 2.5cm x 2.6cm and weighing only 12g, the Chobi Cam One is capable of shooting photos in 1600 x 1200 pixels, as well as VGA video at 30fps, according to JTT’s website and AkihabaraNews.

The camera does not have any control monitor but it comes with a set of wide-lens converter and the support of microSDHC cards up to 32GB in capacity.

It also has a USB port to connect to a PC for image transfer, said CNet News. The Chobi Cam One costs US$118 (S$151) from the JTT online store, and extra lenses are priced between US$30 and US$60.

Shipping for the mini shooter is limited to within Japan. AGENCIES
