SanDisk Extreme Pro UHS-I SDHC card and the world’s fastest high-capacity CompactFlash card
The Extreme Pro promises reliability and offers one-year use of RescuePRO media-recovery software, which enables the retrieval of images deleted accidentally.
It is also very durable and is waterproof, shockproof, X-rayand magnet-proof. So, even if you toss it around, it should still work.
And it does, even after being soaked in ice and water, or shaken in a tumbler or mixer.
Memory-card prices have fallen quite a bit, but the faster and more expensive cards are still very much sought after by professional and serious photographers.
The SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB CompactFlash card is one example. It has a 100MBper-second write speed, a huge storage capacity (128GB) and is well suited for Full HD (1920x 1080) recording.
But it is also quite costly and will be available only later in the first quarter of this year.
How much: Extreme Pro SDHC available in 8GB to 32GB capacities. Prices from $67.90 to $259.90. Extreme Pro CompactFlash card goes at US$1,499.99 (S$1,924).
