THIS is a reference headphone set designed for audio professionals and more discerning music lovers.

It is certainly not cheap but the adage, “What you get is what you pay for”, applies here.

The ambient-noise isolation capability of Beats Pro is good. Made of strong but light aluminium, the headset should stand up to the rigours of repeated use.

The flip-up earcups enable sers to listen to what is going on around them without having to take off the headset, and the dual input/output ports also allow users to daisy-chain headphones.

Sound-wise, this is an excellent headset. Trebles and bass are clear and not overstated. The soundstage is also deep and spacious. The overall neutrality of sound reproduction makes this a good monitoring headset.

Comfort-wise, there are no complaints. The headset folds up and can be tucked into a supplied velvet bag quite easily.
