PowerBeats Sport Headphones From Monster® - In-Ear w/ Sport Hook - Black
THOSE of you who listen to music while you work out probably know how it feels to have your earphones slowly slip out of your ears. You can solve your woes with PowerBeats Sport Headphones From Monster ($349).

These sporty in-ear headphones not only look good with its chrome finish but are also pretty well built with bendable rubber hooks for a snug comfortable grip onto your ears. They also come with a carrying case, an audio cable extender, a detachable clip and three pairs of ear-tips of different sizes.

The PowerBeats are probably the most comfortable pair of sports headphones I have ever tried. Even on long jogs or Kinect workouts, I never once felt they would slip off, yet the rubber hooks never "bit" into my ears.

The headphone ear-tips are designed so that ambient noise could be heard. This is important so those like myself who jog along roads can able to hear any vehicles coming too close for comfort.

While the silicone ear-tips are replaceable, the rubber hooks are not. Thus, if the rubber hooks are ever damaged, you might have to buy a new pair of headphones. Given the price tag of the PowerBeats, you really don't want this to happen.

The PowerBeats boast a separate subwoofer and mid-range tweeter and the sound quality shows with clean vocals and crisp highs. While the bass is solid, it lacks the kind of punch you would expect from a headphone bearing the Monster name.

The PowerBeats also feature ControlTalk - a sleek on-cable diamond-shaped module with built-in microphone - so you can adjust the volume as well as answering calls hands-free. It can be used on any iOS device and even on the latest MacBook Pros. Sounds great in theory, though I had some difficulty in differentiating the ControlTalk buttons by feel, as they are placed close together without any tactile markers.

Still, for those who love music and a healthy lifestyle, the PowerBeats Sports Headphones From Monster will be a great companion ... as long as they're within your budget. Get yours in black, red or white. Trevor Tan
