Make full use of your iPad with the ZAGGmate

ONE of the chief beefs about the iPad is that, while it is great for consuming music, movies and the Web, it is inadequate for producing anything, even simple documents.
That is largely because of the lack of a physical keyboard.
Zagg, a company best known for its stick-on skins which protect phones, computers and other devices from dings and scratches, has come up with a thin, lightweight Bluetooth keyboard to address the problem.
Called the ZAGGmate, the keyboard is about the same dimensions as the iPad itself, and doubles as a cover.
When not using the iPad, flip the glass side towards the keyboard and it slips into the case, which has an aluminium appearance that matches the back of the iPad. The board’s keys also have a very similar feel to a Mac laptop keyboard.
However, it does take some getting used to. A New York Times writer wrote that it feels “so much like a computer that people trying it out would inevitably feel around for a mouse to move the cursor, forgetting that the iPad is a touchscreen”.
