Hefty beast lurks behind clean looks

THE NX90 is a most pretty notebook, even if it is somewhat big (526 x 280 x 30-43.8mm) and heavy (4.8kg with battery).

It is also not simply another run-of-the-mill laptop.

Its design pedigree can be traced to the chap who is behind audio-equipment brand Bang & Olufsen’s look, hence its brushed aluminium surface and clean appearance.

This notebook has high specifications – an Intel Core i7 CPU, an Nvidia GeForce GT 335M graphics card with 1GB VRAM, an 18.4-inch full-HD LED (1920x1080), 8GB of memory, a 1TB hard drive and a Blu-ray DVD combo drive.

Asus also touts the notebook’s superior sound quality and the versatility of its dual trackpads, located on the right and left of the keyboard.
