Slim, sturdy and stylish, the Sony Cybershot DSC-TX5 is an ideal companion for individuals with an active lifestyle. Sony says it's the world's slimmest waterproof digicam, and can be used in waters up to 3m deep for up to 60 minutes.

It's also dustproof, shockproof (withstanding drops from a height of 1.5m), and weather-resistant (temperatures up to -10 degrees Celsius), making it suitable for hiking trips in cold or damp locales.

The DSC-TX5 has several landscape modes to help you make your photos that much more special. The Handheld Twilight mode lets you take a scenic panoramic view of the city skyline at night. The Backlight Correction HDR (High Dynamic Range) takes two exposures - one set to capture shadow detail and the other for highlight detail - and merges them to give you an image that reproduces all the breathtaking colours your eyes perceive.

Finally, the Intelligent Sweep Panorama function lets you sweep the camera horizontally or vertically to create panoramic shots effortlessly - the TX5 automatically stitches the photos together.
