The Microsoft wireless mobile mouse 4000 utilises advanced tracking technology called BlueTrack, allowing it to be used on virtually any surface, from smooth and shiny granite to carpet and unfinished wood. Only glass and mirrored surfaces can stop this mighty mouse in its tracks.

The mouse communicates wirelessly - up to 15 feet - with a snap-in nano transceiver that will not protrude when left plugged into your laptop or netbook's USB port. Alternatively, stow the transceiver under the mouse, which will turn it off to conserve battery life. One AA battery lasts for more than 10 months of use, says Microsoft.
