The latest digital single lens reflex (DSLR) camera from Nikon packs a 16.2-megapixel DX-format CMOS image sensor (1.5x crop), Nikon's latest Expeed 2 image processor, a 3-inch LCD screen and dual SD card slots into a weather-resistant magnesium alloy shell.

The D7000 boasts a new auto focusing (AF) system with 39-point AF points and nine cross-type sensors in the centre to allow swift and accurate AF operation. It can shoot photos at up to 6 frames per second (fps) and full high-definition 1920x1080p videos at 24fps.

In addition, it has 19 scene modes and a scene recognition system with face detection technology to ensure you will not miss any shots in any lighting conditions.
